Yin by Candlelight at PUR Yoga in the Beaches
Friday February 2nd, 7:00-9:00pm
Slow down and soften into this 90 minute yin practice. Yin yoga targets the connective tissue of the body, with poses being held 3-5 minutes, close to the ground. The passive nature of the practice makes it a beautiful contrast to running, cycling, and other active yoga classes. Lana will lead us into shapes that will nourish the meridians (energy pathways) connected with the spring season.
In the stillness we will explore deepening compassion for our own experience and how we can bring that kindness into our interactions with others. Throughout the practice Lana will apply or offer essential oils to enhance relaxation.
$20 for PUR members, $30 for others

Yin Yoga: Winter Nourishment at Zen Yoga Cleveland
Sunday February 25th, 2:30-4:30pm
Join Lana Sugarman for a 2 hour deep dive into the practice of Yin Yoga. Yin targets the connective tissue of the body, maintaining and expanding range of motion.
The poses are held for 2-5 minutes, and are done close to the floor, often with prop support. As we explore stillness in the body we have an opportunity to release tension in the body and mind. We also gently put pressure on different energy pathways of the body- as though we were giving ourselves a little acupressure treatment.
The sequence of poses will nourish the Kidney and Urinary Bladder Meridians – the energy channels in Traditional Chinese Medicine that are associated with the winter season – to help us feel balanced and grounded. Slow down and soften…
